These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the website, member app, facilities, classes, and services of Alliance Jiu Jitsu Corona (“Alliance Jiu Jitsu Corona,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By visiting our website, creating an account, purchasing a membership or trial, or training with us, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
1. Who We Are & What We Offer
We are a martial arts academy in Corona, California, offering Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling, judo, boxing, and related programs for children and adults. We also provide a website and a member app for class scheduling, attendance, communications, and billing. Class offerings, schedules, and programs may change.
2. Eligibility & Accounts
- Members under 18 must be enrolled by a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on the minor’s behalf and is responsible for the minor’s account and conduct.
- One household account may manage several family members. Keep your information accurate and your login secure — you are responsible for activity under your account.
- You agree to use our website, app, and facilities only for lawful purposes and as permitted by these Terms.
3. Memberships, Trials & Billing
- Membership plans (recurring, prepaid, punch-card, or trial), along with their prices and terms, are presented to you at sign-up.
- Recurring memberships auto-renew and automatically charge your saved payment method on each billing date until you cancel, and you authorize those charges.
- Free or trial offers (such as a free week) are for new or otherwise eligible participants and may be limited in time or scope.
- Failed payments may be retried, and access may pause until your balance is resolved.
- We may change prices or plans with reasonable advance notice.
4. Cancellations, Freezes & Refunds
Cancellation, freeze/hold, and refund terms for your membership are described in the membership agreement you accept at sign-up. To cancel or freeze, contact us using the details below or through your member account. Class reservations may be subject to late-cancellation and no-show policies shown in the app.
5. Classes, Reservations & Check-In
- Class schedules, capacities, waitlists, and eligibility are shown in the app and may change.
- You must check in for classes as directed, and you may need an active membership and a signed waiver to participate.
- For everyone’s safety, coaches and staff have authority over class conduct and may adjust or cancel classes.
6. Assumption of Risk & Waiver
Martial arts, grappling, and combat-sports training are physically demanding and involve inherent risks, including the risk of serious injury.
Participation requires you (or, for a minor, the parent or legal guardian) to read and sign our liability waiver and assumption-of-risk agreement, which is a separate, binding document. You represent that you (or your child) are in adequate physical condition to participate, and you agree to follow all instructor directions, safety rules, and gym policies.
7. Code of Conduct
- Treat coaches, staff, and fellow students with respect. Follow all hygiene, safety, and gym rules. Alliance Jiu Jitsu Corona is a family environment.
- We may refuse service to, suspend, or terminate the membership of anyone whose conduct endangers, harasses, or disrupts others or violates these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
8. Communications & Text Messaging
With your consent, we send email and text-message (SMS) communications about your membership and, if you opt in, occasional news. Reply STOP to any text to opt out; message and data rates may apply. Our Privacy Policy describes our messaging program and how we handle your information in full.
9. Payments & Third-Party Services
Card payments are processed by our third-party payment processor (Stripe), and your payments are also subject to their terms. Our website and member app are provided using software and hosting from Ark Innovations. We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, or availability of third-party services.
10. Intellectual Property
The content on our website and app (text, graphics, and logos) is owned by us or our licensors and may not be copied or reused without permission. The Alliance name and marks are used under our affiliation with the Alliance jiu-jitsu team.
11. Disclaimers
Our website, app, and services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee specific fitness or performance results, uninterrupted access, or that the website and app will always be error-free.
12. Limitation of Liability
Except as set out in the separately signed liability waiver (which governs risks of physical injury from training), and to the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of your use of the website or member app is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Alliance Jiu Jitsu Corona harmless from claims, damages, and expenses arising out of your misuse of our services or your violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Riverside County, California.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version here and revise the effective date above. Continuing to use our services after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
